Fasting & Prayer

FRIDAY FASTING AND INTERCESSORY PRAYER

(Offered to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary)

Date: 17th April,  2026

Intention : For our Priests

Let us We come before our heavenly father with grateful hearts for the gift of our priests. Thank You Lord for calling them to serve at Your altar, to shepherd Your people, and to stand in the person of Christ. Today we lift every priest into Your loving hands; those who are strong and those who are weary, those who are joyful and those who are burdened.

Lord Jesus, our Eternal High Priest, cover them with Your Precious Blood. Guard their hearts, minds, and bodies from every temptation that seeks to steal their peace, their purity, and their joy. When loneliness creeps in, be their Companion. When the world offers empty promises, be their Satisfaction. When the enemy whispers lies of discouragement, let Your Truth roar louder in their souls.

Holy Spirit, be their strength in weakness. Rekindle in them the fire of their ordination day. Renew their love for the Eucharist, for Confession, for the Word, and for Your people. Give them wisdom to discern, courage to stand firm, and humility to run to You when they fall.

Mother Mary, Queen of the Clergy, wrap your mantle around each priest. Protect them as you protected Jesus. Lead them to your Son when they are tempted to look elsewhere. St. Michael the Archangel, defend them in battle. St. John Vianney, patron of parish priests, intercede for them. All holy men and women who served faithfully, pray for them.

Father, we pray especially for those priests who are under heavy attack right now; those battling doubts, addictions, exhaustion, scandal, or spiritual dryness. Do not let the enemy have them. Send Your angels to encamp around them. Send faithful friends to encourage them. Send Your grace to lift them when they are too tired to stand.

May they never forget they are Yours, chosen, loved, and called by name. Restore their first love. Heal every wound they carry from ministry. Let them see fruit from their hidden sacrifices. And when their time comes, welcome them with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.
